Did you ever plan for an early morning roadwork session, but instead hit the snooze button and went back to sleep because you felt like you needed more sleep?
Then you regretted it for the rest of the day.
I’ve been there too.
As a matter of fact I hit the snooze button this morning after planning out my early am run last night.
But I got up to GSD… AKA get sh*t done.
In times past, I would use positive thinking like, “you want this”, or “you love the morning sessions”.
This morning I started differently.
I just rolled out of bed and started moving. I know that still requires some mental coaxing, but just moving got me going towards what I wanted.
To get out the front door and hit the road.
“Motion creates emotion”
Getting up and moving will stimulate your mind and spirit go for what you want.
All of us have heard the saying, “paralysis of analysis”. Thinking too much will sometimes freeze you from hunting down your goals and ambitions.
Roll out of bed.
Stumble to the bathroom.
Clunk down the stairs.
Step out the door and get your day started.
I completed my 5k for the morning and watched the sunrise and came home to my family getting their day started.
It felt great after I was done and I feel like I earned a nap for later
