CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

''Although I had a “healthy” diet and would jump on my Peloton a fair amount, Sarah helped me understand that if I didn't deal with my stress, I was not going to be successful with these other measures.''

I'm 53 and married with 3 kids and work full time in a somewhat stressful job.  Over the last 6 months I’ve let this get in the way of my health goals. ⁣

I started working with Sarah to develop mechanisms and habits to deal with my stress so that I could implement healthy nutrition and movement into my schedule. ⁣

Although I had a “healthy” diet and would jump on my Peloton a fair amount, Sarah helped me understand that if I didn't deal with my stress, I was not going to be successful with these other measures. ⁣

Sarah helped me with mindful eating, and MOST importantly with shifting my mind set with small steps towards my bigger goals, helping me reach them! ⁣

Sarah meets her clients where they’re at, understanding that everyone is different and going to respond to different prompts and motivations.  She knows how to push just enough and without forcing. ⁣

I know it can be hard to invest time and money into yourself, but Sarah will help you understand that if you can't make these changes and invest in yourself, you are not going to be able to provide support to your family, friends, and job, and if that isn't worth it I don't know what is!"

"My favorite part about working with Chris and Sarah is there's ZERO judgement. There are days that will be harder than others and they guide us to pick up where we left off. Chris would remind me that every day is a new beginning. If you fall off one day (even a few days), it is okay. We are human. "

My husband and I have known Chris and Sarah for over a decade and we have weathered storms together. From Rockaway Beach where it all began, storming back after their gym was destroyed by hurricane Sandy in 2012 and all the experiences thereafter.

Chris and Sarah have been a huge support system and mentor to us for many years, having helped us mentally and physically overcome huge obstacles that life threw our way.

Over  the years, we have had a lot of ups and downs with our health journey. We now have 3 kids, moved from New York to South Carolina and the weight of the hustle and bustle took us off track.

We endured a lot during this Pandemic and we have let ourselves go quite a bit. Going out to eat all of the time, drinking a ton of soda, eating junk, going to bed late. The list goes on.

My husband works 2 full-time jobs and I am a stay-at-home mom. And it tends to feel like there is absolutely 0 time left in a day.

I was finding myself eating cold waffles off of small unfinished plates because I was just too tired. By the end of the day, our energy levels were completely depleted and “tomorrow” was just another auto pilot day.

We joined the 12 week program with Chris and Sarah to help us get out of this rut we were in and get started on our mental and physical health journey. Training our mindset gave us an opportunity to focus on our behavior first and foremost.

The weekly coaching calls helped us stay in our lane and mindful of the goals we are trying to achieve, helping us stay accountable. We were even able to get through all of the holidays remaining active and setting new goals.

Sarah helped us pay attention to our hunger cues, listening to our bodies when we were hungry and not snacking out of boredom.

Sarah helped us stay determined on one small goal at a time, maintaining a healthy lifestyle of eating, which then gave us the energy to help take on our days.

My favorite part about working with Chris and Sarah is there's ZERO judgement. There are days that will be harder than others and they guide us to pick up where we left off. Chris would remind me that every day is a new beginning. If you fall off one day (even a few days), it is okay. We are human. We picked up where we left off knowing it’s okay to start again.

We truly understand it is hard to set goals for yourself sometimes because life gets tangled and busy, but if you do not PUT YOURSELF FIRST, you can not be 100 percent for everyone else in your life or the world.

Chris and Sarah have made such an impact on our journey and if you too need guidance and are struggling, reach out your hand. I promise they will pull you out.

Well, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

"Weekly group coaching calls kept me on track, provided positive reinforcement, and boosted my motivation. Sarah has a thoughtful approach and matches the energy level of each person. This made a huge difference…overbearing, pushy, in your face coaches are not for me."

Sarah’s own transformation and success attaining improved health and happiness over the last year inspired me to do something about my personal situation. ⁣

I started working with Sarah after Thanksgiving and was immediately drawn to her approach for surviving the holidays with mindful eating, drinking more water, daily activity, self-care, goal setting, and not punishing yourself for occasional splurges. By changing my mindset, I was able to change my behavior and actually lost a few pounds this year instead of gaining weight over the holidays.⁣

"Sarah is an amazing coach. I have been stuck in a fixed mindset for years. I not only learned HOW to shift my mindset and negativity, but now I immediately put into practice many of the concepts Sarah has coached me on. "

I’m a 49-year-old mom. My children are adults now-and I truly let myself go. I lived a pretty sedentary lifestyle, having had no idea what the word “nutrition” actually meant.Things started to get away from me-the state of the house, cooking a decent dinner, opting for cereal.

After listening to Sarah & Chris on Facebook, I came to Sarah simply because I wanted to feel better. I am now 6 weeks into my own GRIT program, and the changes that Sarah has helped me implement are nothing short of remarkable. Might I add, I began GRIT at 167 pounds. Yesterday morning, I was down to 154!

Sarah is an amazing coach. I have been stuck in a fixed mindset for years. I not only learned HOW to shift my mindset and negativity, but now I immediately put into practice many of the concepts Sarah has coached me on. As a double bonus, the lessons I am learning about nutrition and fitness with great anabolic energy, I have been able to help people in my life using techniques that I have learned from Sarah.

She makes me feel as if I were her only client and absolutely always supports me-good, bad, and ugly days, in any way, I truly need it. She encourages change very softly yet is very determined to help you.

One of my goals was to get off my pity pot and feel better and it has been a true success. My mindset is shifting automatically as I no longer have to remind myself that negative thoughts can be acknowledged and reframed. She always manages to know exactly what to say to help me create motivation and be proud of the smallest achievements I have made.

Do not walk over to Sarah, RUN. I truly believe she could help anyone who truly wanted to make changes. I promise if you commit yourself to the program-you will see amazing results in yourself, and isn’t that who you should love the most?

"Chris comes to the table with knowledge and patience. We worked through  limitations I had in certain areas to develop that overall strength. There is no screaming and catch phrases to motivate you.  "

I work a full-time job usually in excess of 50 hrs a week. My passions are cycling and hiking. They combined to keep me busy with a goal-oriented schedule that takes me to many places to compete. I also sprinkle in water sports like surfing and kayaking when I have the time.

My main goal is to develop my body to be resilient to the demands cycling has put on my body. Sport Cross training. Other motivating factors were to get leaner, more muscle mass, and increase bone density. All these will help me be a stronger athlete and cyclist, especially as I’m now in my 50’s.

I decided to work with Chris and Sarah from a bond we had created years ago. I personally do better with a one-on-one connection as opposed to online impersonality-based workouts. The connection keeps me actionable and accountable. In a good way, of course. Nothing stressful.

I feel my health is positive and has been for a few years. I have a desire to compete at a higher level in my chosen sport. So strength training in the off season is part of that. I also recognize the importance of muscle mass and bone density as we age.

In the 12-week program I definitely got stronger. Each workout using the app CROM has I could see new PR’s almost on every workout. They could be from increased reps or weight. My body definitely got stronger.

We worked through some limitations I had in certain areas to develop that overall strength. My body physically looks leaner and more fit and my chest, shoulders and arms gained size. (Lower body as well).

Chris comes to the table with knowledge and patience. There is no screaming and catch phrases to motivate you. I find it more wholesome to understand the process of growth as opposed to being forced to perform.

My favorite part of working with CROM is 2 parts. The videos were super helpful. It worked pretty well with the app to help you get through the work and do it properly. The other favorite part was the conversations that expanded on the experience.

If anyone was on the fence I would say to them talk with Chris and Sarah about what your goals are. Know what you're trying to achieve. From there, they have the experience to create a platform that will get you there.

"Sarah taught me the tools needed to carry on long term with my health journey. That it’s more than just saying I can’t eat this or that or I have to exercise everyday. "

I’ve never been super healthy but the last 10 years or so there has been a decline in my health.

I wanted to try and get myself healthy in the right way by changing my approach to eating and exercise. I felt what I’ve been doing over the years never lasted.

Sarah taught me the tools needed to carry on long term with my health journey. That it’s more than just saying I can’t eat this or that or I have to exercise everyday.

It’s changing your mindset and working on not so great habits that you have developed over the years. Also that it’s not an overnight thing.

This especially has helped me because I tended to be a person that would sabotage myself like if I had a not so great day of eating I would sometimes get derailed. Now I feel it’s ok not to be perfect as long as I can just keep moving forward positively.

Sarah was always there to walk me through anything and answer any questions and help talk through certain road blocks. Always patient and understanding.

Sometimes we are not thinking or knowing how to switch our thoughts on our own. If you’re feeling stuck, try this out!

"I lost 38lbs , 3 inches around my waist, my legs were more toned and my energy was definitely higher.   I learned the importance of breathing, stretching and that early workouts give me energy throughout the day.  The most important thing I learned was to keep moving as much as you can."

"Hi my name is Stacy and I’m a Graphic Design Director for the City of NY. I run a small team that creates designs for the Mayor’s Office. My job has me mostly immobile but on weekends I try to be active doing yard work or going fishing.

Despite that my weight and overall health were not the greatest.  When I joined GRIT my main goals were to lose weight and gain more energy.  I knew from trying out the CROM PC gym that Chris and Sarah kept in shape and had TONS of energy.  I felt I could trust them with my health goals.

At the beginning of the program I had just started a shift in what I ate but overall my nutrition, health, and relationship with my body was still poor.  I snacked a lot on processed foods that were high in fat and sugar. During the program I began learning about healthier food choices and when to eat and workout.

I learned to cook differently and became aware of when I was eating good and poorly.  I could really feel a difference.  Another thing I learned was the importance of keeping a journal.  It wasn’t my favorite thing to do but now I apply it  to other aspects of my life.

By the end of the program I lost 38lbs , 3 inches around my waist, my legs were more toned and my energy was definitely higher.   I learned the importance of breathing, stretching and that early workouts give me energy throughout the day.  The most important thing I learned was to keep moving as much as you can.

If you’re trying to decide whether or not to work with Chris and Sarah let me decide for you…get off the fence or couch or whatever you are sitting on and JOIN!  You’ve got nothing to lose but excess weight, bad habits and harmful mindsets."
